ACMS Canvas Floater Frames are designed for displaying your canvas artwork.
Securing your canvas to the frame is accomplished with 1/2" Z-Clips (aka Canvas Offset Clips). These clips come installed on the frame so when you receive the frame...you can install your canvas artwork immediately.
Our canvas frame sizes are based on the size of the canvas. If the canvas you want to frame is a different size than what's available, we will be happy to customize your frame for a perfect fit.
Should you have any questions about ordering the correct frame...please send a message via the "Chat with us" button below. We will answer as quickly as we can.
Adjusting Your Frame To Fit Your Canvas Size:
If the size of your canvas is not listed.. you simply select the next size UP (longest length) and enter your custom size requirements in the "Custom Canvas Size" text box.
Your canvas is 20"x 28"....that size is not listed so you start with your longest length of 28". The next longest length is 36" so you select the 24"x 36" size.
Then you let us know your actual canvas size. You can also increase the smaller length but no more than 4" from the original length. The easiest thing to do with oval customization is to contact us...we'll guide you through it easily.
Adjusting Your Float Gap:
The Float Gap is the space between your canvas and the interior of the frame. This gap is what makes your artwork float within the frame...it also allows you to see your entire artwork up to (and including) the outer edge.
Our standard float gap distance is 3/8" but we also offer 1/4" and 1/2". This is strictly a matter of preference...some artists like to see their canvas just slightly away from the interior of the frame and some like much more of a space.
Our Canvas Floater Frames are made with SOLID hardwood. We assemble each section of the frame with steel hanger bolts....they are definitely built to last.
